Willam's picture William Yeh: Chairman and CEO

William Yeh founded Genesis Securities, LLC in 1999. Genesis is the largest Asian owned broker/dealer that has traded the most Nasdaq volume. Genesis executes about 2-4% of Nasdaq daily volume and 1-1.5% of the NYSE/AMEX daily trading volume. In January 2006, Genesis traded over 1.6 Billion shares.

Genesis and its proprietary trading platform, Laser, has been awarded the prestigious NASDAQ Platinum Certification every quarter since inception of the award in Q1 2004. Laser is currently the only order entry platform certified Platinum. Genesis services professional traders, institutions, hedge funds, and other broker/dealers.

William Yeh was one of the top five Commodity Trading Advisors selected by MAR in 1997. William Yeh, with full fellowship, attended U.C. Berkeley and received MS in Mechanical Engineering in 1982. In 1981, he graduated with top honors in Physics and received Magna Cum Laude with BA in Physics and minor in Math from City University of New York, Queens College. He was the winner of the 1981 Paul Klappa Physics award and was elected to Sigma Xi, the National Scientific Research Society. He co-authored several papers on "Superconductivity."

Dave's picture Dave Whitmore, President

With 27 years in the retail brokerage industry, Dave Whitmore brings a deep and broad background with individual investors to SogoTrade. Dave joins SogoTrade from TD Ameritrade where he held managing director roles in client marketing and product management.

Dave started in the industry with Paine Webber in 1981 and then joined fledgling Waterhouse Securities in 1985, where he was later promoted to become the firm’s first director of training during the Waterhouse’s rapid growth. He then became one of the first regional vice presidents where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the firm’s mid-Atlantic region. In 1999, Dave joined trading pioneer Datek Online as senior vice president, where he spearheaded efforts to enhance the online experience for Datek’s customers, managed online content, and initiated Datek’s trade show sales effort. In 2002 Datek and Ameritrade merged and Dave joined the new entity as director of client/product strategy and provided integral strategic insight and direction to client marketing and product development that led to industry and media acclaim for the merged firms. Dave’s career brings experience and leadership in marketing, product development, brokerage operations and customer service to SogoTrade.

Dave received a BA from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a major in business economics, and an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business.

Dave lives in Lincroft, NJ with his wife and two children.
